Romantic Bedroom Decorating
Stick around here a little while, and I will show you exactly how to get that perfect, romantic look...
To get a successful romantic bedroom, stick to white or pale, pastel colors. Classic ‘romantic' colors are ideal for this look - choose from dusky pink, lilac, periwinkle blue, lemon and soft green. Keep to muted pastel shades, and avoid any bright or fresh colors. Several of these soft pastel shades can be combined together, or stick to a single color, for a simple, uncluttered feel.
Florals are a very important aspect of getting your romantic bedroom decorating scheme right. Get all feminine, flirty and floral, and get in that romantic mood. Wallpapers, curtain fabric and bedding are the ideal places to introduce big, blowsy blooms, or delicate, finely wrought flowers, butterflies and birds. Small, delicate floral's can be used extensively in your romantic bedroom decorating scheme. Large floral's are best as accents, for accessories or a focal wall behind the bed.
Make a real statement out of your bed itself -- it should definitely be the focal point for any romantic bedroom decorating scheme. A dramatic bed, such as a four-poster, wooden sleigh bed
or wrought-iron bed, would suit your scheme perfectly.
A traditional or decorative style is ideal for a romantic bedroom decorating scheme. Choose dainty, decorative furniture, with plenty of pretty curves and moldings. Mirrored Venetian style furniture would also be absolutely perfect.
